  • Each 45-minute session begins with pairing. This gives therapist and your child time to build a positive connection. We want kids to feel excited about sessions and see their therapist as someone fun and supportive.

After pairing, the focus shifts to skill building, guided by evidence-based practices. Goals are personalized but often include:

    • Social and emotional development

    • Building and practicing social skills

    • Emotional regulation strategies

    • Functional communication

    • Daily living skills

  • At BeeHaven Health, we work with the entire family by coaching caregivers to better support their child when navigating challenging behaviors.

Parent coaching sessions usually begin with caregivers only, so there’s no need to work around your child’s schedule. Each session is guided by data — we review progress, discuss wins and challenges, and identify strategies or interventions to try at home.

Before wrapping up, we check in on what’s working, address any questions, and plan next steps. These sessions are collaborative and flexible — we’re a team working together to help your child thrive.

  • Timelines depend on your personal goals, and everyone moves at their own speed. Our goal is to give your entire famil the tools to become independent and manage on your own, so one day, you won’t need our help anymore.

Most families who use our services start to see significant progress in 6-10 sessions.

  • Yes! As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, my job is to understand the observable behaviors that result from a child navigating through emotional outbursts and challenging behaviors.

I will collect data, understand ‘why’ they are experiencing challenging behaviors, find a way to teach a replacement behavior, and reinforce the appropriate behaviors!

  • A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) specializes in understanding and improving challenging behaviors using evidence-based strategies. BCBAs are trained to assess the why behind behaviors and identify what causes and maintains them. This is done through data-backed assessments. Using this information, they design individualized intervention plans that teach new skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and reduce problem behaviors in ways that are meaningful for each child and family.

At BeeHaven Health, our BCBAs work closely with caregivers to make sure strategies are practical, compassionate, and effective across home, school, and community settings.
